Oscar-winning Australian cinematographer Andrew Lesnie passed away today at just 59 years of age, from what is being reported as a sudden heart attack.
Lesnie's family will release a statement later today.
He worked on several projects with George Miller and Peter Jackson in a career that started on television on a show called 'Wonder World!' and most recently, 'The Water Diviner', which is currently in cinemas.
Weta Workshop heads Richard and Tania Taylor who frequently worked on several projects with Lesnie, issued the following statement:
